During the entire event we make sure to provide to all the swimmers the best water safety that we can.

Before the event, the Water Safety Manager and course Zone managers will assess the conditions at different times of the day. Consideration will be given to the comparative difference in size and intensity of the two beaches.

All of these assessments on the day will contribute to the overall decision of the event ‘go ahead’.

All the water safety staff hold a current proficient SRC or Bronze medallion holder of any SLS Club in Australia.

In addition Waverley council lifeguards and NSW Marine rescue crew will be present during the day.

During the event water Safety personnel will be located throughout the course with rescue tubes, board paddlers, an IRB and a Jet Ski.
